I'm Nattiel. I sold everything in Denver, moved my family to Tuscany, and lost our dream house three weeks in.
The Expat Field Notes grew out of telling that story honestly — the food, the land, the mess, and the unglamorous version of starting over. It turned out a lot of people were trying to build a life in Italy too, and nobody was being straight with them about how hard, and how worth it, it really is.
Fontaine Consulting grew out of everything I learned building brands before this one. It's where I build the strategy, systems, and Claude-powered automation that let other founders grow without doing every task by hand.
